Two of the area’s top girls tennis players are slated to meet for the individual singles title in the Northridge Sectional.

Senior Krystal Grubb of Elkhart Memorial and junior Morgan Mast of Fairfield are scheduled to face off in the No. 1 singles finale today at Northridge at 5 p.m.

Grubb defeated Taylor Sellers of Northridge 6-1, 6-0 Wednesday night in a semifinal match played at the Eastlake Athletic Club in Elkhart. Mast had a bye.

Grubb, who will play next season at IUPUI, sports a perfect 22-0 record on the season, while Mast is 21-2.

Memorial will also be represented in the No. 1 doubles individual sectional final today. The duo of Maggie Dickerson and Layla Jojo beat Tara Miller and Riley Kruger of West Noble 6-3, 6-3 in a semifinal match at Eastlake Wednesday night.

The team of Dickerson and Jojo will play Kaitlyn Margraf and Anna Pope of Jimtown today at 5 p.m. at Northridge in the final. Margraf and Pope beat Fremont’s Taylor Lovett and Kirsten Lovett 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the other semifinal Wednesday.

Individual sectional champions advance to the LaPorte Regional on June 3.
