Gale C. Decker
Gale C. Decker, 87, Claypool, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
On March 20, 1930, she was born in Paducah, Ky. to Bryce and Mabel (Gale) Phillipson. She was united in marriage to Charles Decker on Sept. 8, 1957 in Winona Lake, Indiana, who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 2002.
Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, Gale graduated from Warsaw High School, Class of 1948. She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and going on trips. She also was a member of the Lunch Bunch Group for many years.
She is survived by four sons, Eric Decker, Burket; Cedric Decker, New Paris; Tom Decker, Claypool; Dan Decker, Warsaw; her daughter, Karen Bland, Indianapolis; seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Gale is preceded in death by two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Denny Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
Visitation hours will be from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m. Thursday, May 25 in the funeral chapel.
