Kosciusko County Council Approves Additional Appropriations For Meth Awareness Program
WARSAW — During a short meeting of the the Kosciusko County Council meeting on Thursday, Feb. 9, the council unanimously approved additional appropriations for a meth awareness program.
Kosciusko Coalition on Drug Education will receive additional appropriations in the amount of $2,280 for a meth awareness program. Council member Joni Truex explained the program is designed to help those who struggle with a meth addiction receive help.
Prosector Dan Hampton asked the council to approve a state drug free fund grant for $15,000. Council member Joni Truex explained the grant would help assist Tippecanoe Middle School and Tippecanoe Valley High School pay for school drug testing.
The council approved the 2017 salary ordinance amendment for the assessor’s office for the deputies with 10 years of service and six years of service. They also approved the transfer of $1,199.25 from the part time fund to the deputy fund and $1,444.80 from the part time fund to the deputy fund.
The council approved the 2017 salary ordinance amendment for the clerk’s office for two deputies’ 10 years of service. They also approved the attached transfers of $1,423.50 and $1,122.38 from the deputy fund to another deputy fund
