INDIANAPOLIS – A plethora of players from the area, including Dayton Groninger of Warsaw and Hannah Haines of Wawasee, have earned Academic All-State honors from the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association for the 2016-17 girls basketball season.

Groninger was an honorable mention selection to the Academic honors list. Haines was a pick to the first team.

Also named All-State were Erin Graber of NorthWood, along with the Northridge duo of Melinda Bontrager and Marci Miller. The team also included Courtney Dunlap (Argos), Jordan Nemeth (Goshen) and Kelly Fruehauf (John Glenn).

The honorable mention list also featured Ashton Ellis (Goshen), Kyannah Stull (John Glenn), Julaine Miller (Northridge), Mallory Vernon (LaVille), Nicole Flickinger (NorthWood), Karis Brewer (Westview) and Reagan Sharick (Westview).
