Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
2:01 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, North Detroit Street and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ronald E. Deal, 34, North Walker Drive, Columbia City, and Susan M. Bashore, 55, East River Avenue, Warsaw. Deal sideswiped Bashore while switching lanes. Damage up to $2,500.
2:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, North CR 150W, north of North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Mary E. Avery, 49, North Washington Street, Warsaw; Scott A. Williamson, 40, North Sullivan Road, Leesburg; Stephanie M. Adams, 44, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Avery collided into Williamson causing a chain reaction rear ending. Adams was stopped in the lane waiting to pass a disabled vehicle. Avery was transported to Parkview Hospital. Damage up to $50,000.
3:26 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, North CR 150W, south of Executive Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Tony L. Gray, 53, CR West 100S, Warsaw, and Joshua A. Elliott, 23, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Gray rear-ended Elliott in stop and go traffic. Damage up to $5,000.
5:23 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 436 West CR 250N, Warsaw. Drivers: Rebekah A. Harris, 25, Lydia Drive, Warsaw, and Christopher L. Hoffer, 33, Walkers Ridge, Warsaw.Harris and Hoffer were both backing out of parking spaces at Rice Ford when Hoffer rear-ended Harris. Damage up to $1,000.
7:59 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, Lake City Highway, easy of South CR 250E, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael P. Smithson, 49, Adagio Lane, Cypress, CA, and Herbert E. Reinhard, 55, SR 116, Bluffton. Smithson did not stop completely at a red light, rear-ending Reinhard. Damage up to $2,500.
9:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 1060 Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Dennis L. Lemler, 59, Beech Road, Bourbon, and Tina M. Kirk, 59, South Southward Drive, Warsaw. Lemler backed into Kirk while leaving a parking spot. Damage up to $2,500.
10:23 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, CR 100E, north of Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Korissa R. O’Neil, 24, West Mulberry Street, South Whitley. A deer ran out in front of O’Neil’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
1!:23 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, North CR 150W and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Fabian Baca-Guzman, 23, North Fifth Street, Plymouth, and Phillip Wiegand, 21, Sycamore Street, North Liberty. Baca-Guzman was traveling westbound on Lake City Highway and had a yellow flashing turn arrow. Thinking it was clear, he turned in front of Wiegand who was traveling east. Damage up to $50,000.
9:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 617 South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Angela D. Adams, 39, South Maple Street, Pierceton. Adams pulled into a parking spot; Adams thought the car was in park but it lunged forward, moving the parking curb and hitting a decorative fence. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:49 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, North Huntington Street, north of East Medusa Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Daniel Schmucker, 50, North Huntington Street, Syracuse, and Carla K. Collins, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Schmucker backed into Collins. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:43 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, North SR 12, south of Syracuse-Webster Road, North Webster. Driver: Austin L. Flenar, 28, South CR 350E, Warsaw. Several deer ran across the road in front of Flenar. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:16 a.m Sunday, Jan. 22, East Pierceton Road and South CR 250E. Drivers: Austin C. Kurosky, 18, South Lake Sharon Road, Warsaw, and Dorothee Whitaker, 49, West CR 100N, Lagrange. Kurosky was stopped at a stop sign and thought Whitaker was turning so he proceeded through the intersection. Whitaker was not turning and a collision was unavoidable. Damage up to $10,000.
