Bi-County Basketball: Bremen Loads Up On Finals Entires
LAKEVILLE – Bremen will have plenty to root for Saturday at the finals of the 52nd annual Bi-County basketball tournaments.
The Bremen boys varsity team made the finals by upsetting defending champion Triton 50-46 Friday night. A Herculean effort from the duo of Jacob Strehler and Matt Box had the Lion seniors score 38 of the 50 points. Strehler went for 23 and Box 18 as the Lions reach the final to meet New Prairie, which defeated LaVille 57-51 in the other semi-final Friday night.
In the girls finals, Bremen will meet John Glenn after the Lions upset Argos 42-40 and John Glenn pushed past Oregon-Davis 64-61 Thursday evening.
In the JV tournament championships, Bremen’s boys will meet New Prairie at 1:30 p.m. while Argos and Oregon-Davis will tussle in the JV girls final at noon. The girls varsity championship will start at 6:30 p.m. with the boys to follow. All games will be played at LaVille.
