Neva Lucille O’Connor
Neva Lucille O’Connor, 58, Fort Wayne, formerly of Syracuse and North Webster, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at Parkview Randalia Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born Nov. 11, 1958 in Columbia City to Maurice R. and Donna L (Rockwell) Snyder.
She graduated in 1977 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, attended Ivy Tech in Goshen, and was a lifetime Syracuse/North Webster area resident until moving to Fort Wayne two and a half years ago.
She was married on Oct. 19, 2004 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. to Michael L. O’Connor II who survives.
She was employed at the Liberty Diner in Fort Wayne and formerly worked at Palace of Sweet’s in North Webster, Goshen Rubber Company, and was the former owner/operator of Neva’s Place in North Webster.
She grew up in the Grace Lutheran Church in Syracuse, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Syracuse and a former member of the Lakeland Kiwanis in North Webster.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughter, Lacey (Daniel) Savage, North Webster; her son, Joshua (Diana) Patterson, Fort Wayne; three grandchildren: Samuel Savage, Jack Patterson and Henry Patterson; two sisters: Loree Corbat, Syracuse; Laura Keller, Fort Wayne; three brothers: David (Pauline) Snyder, LaPorte; Daniel (Bet) Snyder, Indianapolis; Paul Snyder, Syracuse; step daughter, Micca (Tony) Stewart, Lebanon; Mother-in-law, Julia Hart, Paulding, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Snyder.
Visitation will be from 1–3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Gary Colby of the Salem Community Church in Wilmot officiating. Private burial will take place in the Eberhard Cemetery in Columbia City at a later date.
