Jeannette L. Cripe Lee
Jeannette L. Cripe Lee, 90, of Goshen (formerly of Syracuse) passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1926 in Syracuse to Gideon Olen and Chloie (Hoover) LeCount.
She was a lifetime Syracuse and New Paris area resident, attended Hex School near Syracuse, and received L.P.N. Degree at Glenn Oaks College. She was married on July 1, 1943 to Ray Cripe who preceded her on Sept. 23, 1980 and Jan. 14, 1984 in Syracuse to Cletus A. Lee who preceded her on Oct. 5, 2010. She was formerly employed at Ivy Terrace in Goshen, Veada Industries in New Paris as a sewer, and was an L.P.N. at Greencroft in Goshen.
She was an active member of Clearview United Brethren Church in Goshen. She loved to read and was blessed with the gifts of Helps and Encouragement. She was always willing to cook for those in need, and excellent at giving a call to friends & family to check on their health, to see if they needed help in any way.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryll (Hubert) Schmucker of Goshen & Julia (Steve) Mynhier of Wawaka; a son, Kirby (Linda) Cripe of Syracuse; six grandchildren, Brian and Andrew Schmucker of Goshen; Lori (Juventino) Garcia of Syracuse; Kristina (Cliff) Pappe of Beech Grove, IN; Kent (Lisa) Mynhier of Fremont; and Jennifer Mynhier of Wawaka; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, both husbands, three sisters and brother in laws, infant Shirley LeCount, Margaret Eileen (Berton) Kolberg, and Beverly (Raymond) McDonald.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at Syracuse Cemetery with Pastor Pastor Jim Gillette officiating. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at Clearview United Brethren Church, 67622 US 33, Goshen, IN with Pastor Hubert Schmucker officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
