Warsaw Basketball: Desenberg Chooses North Central
WARSAW – Warsaw Lady Tiger basketball standout and three-sport athlete Page Desenberg has chosen to play basketball and attend North Central College next school year.
Desenberg has played an instrumental role for the Lady Tigers these past two seasons, and her current efforts have helped coach Michelle Harter’s squad reach a 15-2 mark entering the final stretch of the regular season.
The gritty and passionate senior forward has helped the Warsaw defense shut down its opponents. Warsaw has limited opponents to just 38.6 points per game with Desenberg playing a tremendous role in the lock down. Her efforts earned her Honorable Mention All-Northern Lakes Conference last season.
Desenberg’s leadership and focus is not only evident on the court, as the senior has had a great impact in the school and community as well. A member of the golf team and the track and field program, Desenberg has served with the Tiger Student Athletic Board, the WCHS dream council, and she volunteers at the Beamon Home.
A WCHS Scholar Athlete, Desenberg has been a standout in the classroom as she has earned a 10.17 grade point average (12-point scale) entering her final high school semester, and she intends to study elementary education at North Central.
Desenberg will play for coach Michelle Roof and the Cardinals. North Central, an NCAA Division III member school, is a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
