Smoking Cessation Program
NORTH MANCHESTER — According to the American Lung Association: lung cancer is the leading cancer killer in both men and women in the United States. In 1987, it surpassed breast cancer to become the leading cause of cancer deaths in women.
Walnut Street Family Healthcare will host a five-week smoking cessation program. Dan Gray, Director of the
Tobacco Free Coalition, will lead the weekly meetings. The meetings will be 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 – Feb. 7, in the lobby of Walnut Street Family Healthcare, 605 N. Walnut St., North Manchester.
This program is free and includes:
- Cessation instruction to help you quit
- Workbook to guide you during the class and after the class is completed
- Diet information to help control weight while quitting
- Stress release techniques to help overcome the urge to use tobacco and to relax
