Visitation And Celebration Of Life For Conrads Wednesday
SYRACUSE — Visitation and a celebration of the lives of Kimberly Ruth Conrad, 61, Syracuse and her son Stephen Thurlow Conrad II, 32, Phoenix, Ariz., will take place Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Wawasee High School, Syracuse.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, with a celebration of their lives at 6 p.m. Pastor Tom Speicher will officiate. A private family burial will take place.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Kimberly and Stephen Conrad II Scholarship Fund, c/o Lake City Bank, 502 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567.
The Conrads died in a two-vehicle accident the evening of Christmas Day, at CR 1200N and Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. The accident occurred at 6:15 p.m.
Kimberly Conrad was a well-loved kindergarten teacher at Syracuse Elementary for 28 years and was a substitute elementary teacher, more recently at Milford Elementary. She was a real estate broker and enjoyed cheerleading and gymnastics, often serving as a coach or judge. A full obituary can be found here.
Stephen Conrad grew up in Syracuse and graduated from Wawasee High School where he was a member of the golf and basketball teams. He continued golf at the college level. In 2012 he was champion of the Indiana Golf Tournament and again in 2015 when he was inducted into the Indiana High School Golf Hall of Fame. He was a golf professional and a golf shop assistant at Anthem Golf and Country Club, Phoenix, Ariz. A full obituary can be found here.
