Eva Lucille Jefferies — UPDATED
Eva Lucille Jefferies, 86, Donaldson, passed away unexpectedly at 6:17 a.m., Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth Campus.
Eva was born March 23, 1930, in Marshall County to Lester and Helen (Hayn) O’Hara. She was a lifetime resident of Marshall County and was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Plymouth. She was retired from Plymouth Community School Corporation as a cook. She married Keith Jefferies at Argos Sept. 4, 1948. Eva will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Eva is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Keith Jefferies of Donaldson; three daughters: Linda Hamann of Farwell, Texas; Karen and Richard Markley of Plymouth; Debra and Devon Nifong of Argos; her son, Larry and April Jefferies of Plymouth. Eva was blessed with eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one sister; Dana and Sam Dollahan of Koontz Lake; two brothers: Eugene and Margaret O’Hara of Plymouth; and Dennis and Lillian O’Hara of Hazel Green, Ala.
Eva is preceded in passing by her parents, a brother, Earl O’Hara, and two sisters, Darlene Eiler and Glenna Schroder.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is caring for the Jefferies family.
Funeral services will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6 in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, IN 46563 with Pastor Bob Land of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Van Gilder Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5.
