SYRACUSE — The Wawasee community has been stunned by the deaths of three community members: Jeff Rostochak, from natural causes, Dec. 21, and the Christmas Day deaths of Kim Conrad and her son Stephen, due to injuries in a vehicle accident.

A community gathering to help with healing is planned for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at The Lodge (formerly the Smith-Walbridge Camp), 13814 N. Eastshore Drive, Syracuse. There will be a time for singing, prayer and pastors will be present. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Organizers Shaila Swartz and Chris Long said the evening will be a time for healing, for the community to be together to share in the loss. The Syracuse-Wawasee Ministerial Association is also helping coordinate events.
