Donald M. Waggoner
Donald M. Waggoner, 82, Etna Green, passed 7:28 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.
He was born March 12, 1934 in Kosciusko County, Ind to Paul and Eva (Miller) Waggoner.
He married on Oct. 5, 1963 in Warsaw to Alice E. Feldman, who passed on March 17, 2005.
From 1960 to 1996 he owned and operated Don’s Flower Shoppe in Etna Green, Ind. where he was very detailed. He was known for his quality work throughout the area.
Don was a graduate of Etna Green High School in 1952. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw, Ind. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958. In years past he served on the Etna Township Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed going out to eat, gardening, and entertaining friends for coffee and happy hour. He enjoyed watching birds at his feeders and his dogs. He loved his grandchildren and socializing with people.
He is survived by his son, Eric (Kim) Waggoner, Etna Green; five grandchildren: Kristyn, Ben, Emily, Mikayla and Nick; a brother, Larry (Pearl) Waggoner, Maryland
He was preceded by his wife, Alice; his sisters: Judy Waggoner and Dorla Miller; his brother, Ronald Waggoner; and a grandson, Alexander.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at King Memorial Home in Mentone. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, also at the funeral home. Pastor Jordan Ickes will officiate. Burial will take place at Etna Green Cemetery.
