Symphony of the Lakes Presents Holiday Pops Concert

Becky Menzie and Tom Michael
WARSAW — The Symphony of the Lakes, the orchestral branch of Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, will present its holiday pops concert, “A Christmas Cabaret,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Winona Heritage Room.
The concert will feature the vocal talents of Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael, acclaimed cabaret artists from Chicago, Ill. They will lead the audience in special arrangements of holiday classics, backed by maestro Thomas Stirling’s professional orchestra. The symphony will also present Vivaldi’s “Winter: The Four Seasons.”
One of cabaret’s most in-demand duos, Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael offer a blend of whimsy, nostalgia and unquestionable talent that translates into pure entertainment.
Hailed by “Cabaret Scenes Magazine” as one of the “Top Ten Cabaret Acts,” Menzie and Michael have appeared at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Their recording efforts have been praised by Billboard Magazine, BackStage, Show Business Weekly, and Playbill. Their latest CD, “Better Two-gether,” was hailed by critics as “magic,” “sensational,” and “the year’s best recording.”
In what they call a “musical marriage,” Menzie and Michael delight audiences with their chemistry, arrangements and love for music and for one another.
Tickets to the holiday concert can be purchased online, over the phone at (574) 267-8041, or in person at the box office at 2515 E. Center Street, Warsaw.
