WARSAW — A Leesburg man was sentenced for one of his three pending charges in Kosciusko Court this morning, Nov. 28.
Tracy Lee Bickel, 55, 50 EMS B4 Lane, Leesburg, pled guilty to dealing meth, a level 5 felony and possession of precursors, a level 6 felony.
Bickel also has charges pending for home improvement fraud and most recently dealing and possessing meth on Nov. 17.
During his sentencing, Bickel admitted that he has been using meth for the last eight years and making meth for around two years.
“I’m sorry for what I’ve done,” said Bickel to the court. “I just don’t understand why I’m going to jail for it.”
Judge Michael Reed sentenced Bickel to three years at the Indiana Department of Corrections for dealing meth and one year at the IDOC for possession of a precursor. These sentences will be served one after another.
Bickel was also ordered to pay around $2,000 restitution for the clean up costs associated with the meth lab.
