Stockings for Soldiers Begins Nov. 18
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Treasures for Troops and The First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County will be conducting the 6th annual “Stockings for Soldiers” Drive beginning Nov. 18.
Once again, the organizations are giving the community an opportunity to send some holiday cheer to a deployed service member. If you would like to participate and fill a Christmas stocking to be sent overseas from you and your family, you can pick up instructions at the following area businesses: Vein Institute and Medical Spa, The Warsaw Community Public Library, Outdoor Living Center or Lake City Bank (Silver Lake).
You can also find the instructions and the list of items needed to fill your stockings on our Treasures for Troops facebook page. It is asked that everyone who participates follow the instructions provided when filling your stocking.
Shipping costs are very expensive and with the anticipated volume collected, it is important that donated stockings are filled only with items on the list. (Please note and stick to all ounce sizes of items requested).
If you have any questions you may call (260) 352-2678 or email [email protected]. You can also leave a message on the Treasures for Troops facebook page.
We have a soldier for every stocking donated, so the sky’s the limit. You may donate as many stockings as you’d like from you and your family, just make sure each stocking donated is filled according to the instructions.
All stockings must be received by Friday, Dec 2. Early turn ins are greatly appreciated and encouraged as this is such a busy time for everyone. Filled stockings can be dropped off at any of the area businesses listed above during their regular business hours.
