Notice Of Appeal Filed For Woody
WARSAW — Notice of an appeal from the Judgment of conviction and order of commitment has been filed in Kosciusko Circuit Court by Joseph A. Sobek, attorney for Brandon Thomas Woody. The appeal focuses on the sentence handed down Oct. 26, in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
The appeal will be filed in the Indiana Court of Appeals. The notice also requests the clerk of Kosciusko Circuit Court to assemble the clerk’s record according to the Indiana Appellate Rule 2(E). The notice also requests the court reporter to transcribe, certify and file with the clerk a transcript of the entire proceedings, including exhibits at the jury trial, the sentencing hearing and any other evidentiary hearings held by the court in the case.
Woody, who is housed at the high medium security level Miami Correctional Facility, Bunker Hill, was sentenced to 120 years for the murders of Tara Thornburg and Josh Knisley Feb. 19, 2015. Woody was sentenced following a 12-member jury finding him guilty Oct. 7.
