Chamber Now Accepting Award Nominations
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce is in the beginning stages of planning and preparing for the Annual Membership Awards Dinner. Each year the Kosciusko Chamber presents prestigious awards to deserving businesses, organizations and individuals who have invested in Kosciusko County. The Kosciusko Chamber is seeking nominations for the 2017 Membership Awards Dinner to be submitted by Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Again this year, the chamber will have the highly anticipated Man and Woman of the Year award. This award is presented to a person who has made a positive impact on the quality of life in Kosciusko County. The individual must currently reside in Kosciusko County and have resided in the county for five years or more.
This year the Business Awards may look slightly different as they were slightly revamped to better align with the mission and vision of the Kosciusko Chamber. Returning again this year you will see the Business of the Year Award. This award is a Kosciusko Chamber member that has exhibited exemplary leadership, business growth and service to the community. This member is serving as a positive example of best business practices.
Additional repeating awards include the Government Excellence and Young Adult Professional award. The Government Excellence award is someone who has performed a particular service or overall effectiveness in office on behalf of residents within Kosciusko County and are currently in any level of government office or has been out of office no more than two years. The Young Adult Professional Award is anyone 39 years of age or younger who is employed in Kosciusko County and has demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication in pursuing their careers and commitments outside of work.
The chamber is excited to announce that the new awards that will be presented at the Kosciusko Chamber Annual Membership Awards Dinner include Environment & Sustainability, Health & Wellness in the Workplace, Making a Difference and Rising Star.
Environment & Sustainability: A Kosciusko Chamber member with environmental leadership and commitment to environmental excellence through outstanding and innovative sustainability practices.
Health & Wellness: A Kosciusko Chamber member who has created and maintained healthy practices in their workplaces including wellness activities, employee engagement access to resources and a healthy environment.
Making a Difference: A business, non-profit, or service organization that has made a significant impact in Kosciusko County that supports the Chamber through participation.
Rising Star: This award is for businesses in operation 3 years or less. It celebrates Kosciusko County’s highest performing new companies and recognizes those that have exceeded initial targets for growth and financial performance; best demonstrated an understanding of their competitors, customers and the markets they operate in; and have the foundations in place for continued commercial success.
