Columbia City Man Arrested For Arranging To Sell $750 Worth of Meth
COLUMBIA CITY — A Columbia City man was arrested after trying to deal meth at a local gas station.
Tyce James Johnson, 19, 3437 W. Lincolnway, Columbia City, was arrested for conspiring to deal methamphetamine between 5 and 10 grams, a level 3 felony.
On Oct. 26, officers with the Warsaw Police Department received knowledge of a drug deal. Johnson was planning on selling 9 to 10 grams of methamphetamine, three eight balls, for $750. Officers obtained text messages and phone calls about the purchase.
Johnson then informed the buyer to hurry because he needed the money.
Officers intervened and went to the Speedway Gas Station where the deal was planned. They observed Johnson waiting inside of a vehicle and arrested him for conspiring to commit a felony.
Johnson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 26 with a $20,250 surety and cash bond.
