Semonis Hired as Counseling Director
WARSAW — All Things New, a local non-profit agency formed to help women who are struggling with substance abuse, has announced the hiring of Angela Semonis as its Director of Counseling Services.
According to ATN founder, Bill Fawley, Semonis comes with a wealth of training and practical experience in addiction treatment. She received a Master of Counseling degree from Grace College. She is a licensed mental health counselor and a licensed clinical addiction counselor. In addition, she is nationally certified as a master addiction counselor and continues graduate work to further her education in the area of mental health, addiction, trauma and nursing.
“Angela will conduct both individual and group counseling for our residents,” said Fawley, “as well as being involved in the assessment of applicants to our program. Her genuine care for clients, coupled with her experience, will be a great benefit to our residents.”
According to Semonis, “This is an excellent residential program that has been needed in our community for some time. I’m looking forward to working alongside residents on their healing journey from addiction to freedom in recovery.”
ATN provides a three-phase treatment plan which will be implemented in a live-in facility. It will provide a safe Christian environment with close supervision which includes a substance-free environment, structure and support, immersion in a new lifestyle, and the promotion of healthy relationships. The facility will open for residents in October and is currently taking applications from potential residents.
