Get to Know Raise the Dough
WARSAW — Raise the Dough (RTD) is hosting a dessert reception on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Christ’s Covenant Church located at 2090 East Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. This free event will be an opportunity for the community to learn more about Raise the Dough, a Warsaw based non-profit dedicated to raising funds for families adopting. Guests of the event will meet some families that have received aid from the organization, learn about the financial burden required of those adopting, enjoy locally made desserts, and meet new friends.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to celebrate the life changing gift of adoption with those in our community. One of our goals for this event is to help drive local awareness of adoption support. We have found that the financial hurdle is a primary reason couples back away from this calling. Our desire is to step in and help. We are hopeful that the community will come to learn of our efforts and rally behind our mission,” states Tobias Forshtay, founder of Raise the Dough.
During this open house style event, each attendee will be able to meet board members and hear from families impacted by the efforts of Raise the Dough. Timothy Clothier gives perspective on his family’s experience with RTD, “Our experience with RTD was unlike any of the other adoption grant agencies we worked with. Their passion to see no child without a parent is evident in all that they do and we were beyond blessed to be supported by them and the greater Kosciusko County community.” Tim and wife Carrie Clothier recently completed their adoption journey, welcoming home their son Toban from China this past June.
More information on the event and Raise the Dough can be found on its website or on Facebook.
