Five Homes Showcase Latest Building Trends
WARSAW — Visitors eagerly toured five homes during the Builders Association of Kosciusko and Fulton Counties’ 2016 Homes on Parade Friday through Sunday, Sept. 16-18. Spread throughout Kosciusko County, the parade featured stunning custom homes in Syracuse, Winona Lake and Warsaw.
The first home, located on Country Club Lane in Warsaw, had been built by Renewal Homes LLC. The home highlighted a modern minimalist design with a view of the Winona Lake.
Located on Blossom Lane in Warsaw, the second home — by Freeman & Harter Custom Homes — featured a family-friendly open floor plan. The home also featured many energy-efficient features, such as geothermal heating.
The parade’s third home was located on East Legacy Lane in Winona Lake and had a wooded backdrop. The home, built by Mission Contracting by Bruce Jackson, featured spacious rooms and storage.
Out in the country, the fourth home — on North CR 500W, Warsaw — proved to be a modern farmhouse, with a large open-concept layout perfect for entertaining. Renewal Homes LLC built the home.
The final home, located on Ogden Point Road in Syracuse, offered vintage cottage charm and sweeping views of Lake Wawasee. Its builder was Milestone Construction Inc.
All five homes highlighted current trends in home building, cabinetry, flooring, lighting, green energy, interior decorating and more. Fun home aspects seen through Homes on Parade included a home theatre, a slide from the first floor to the basement, geothermal flooring, built-in entertainment centers and more.
Parade books — produced by SpectraPrint — were given to all visitors. The books contained information on each house and builder, plus details about the BAKFC.
