Annual Camp Mack Festival Saturday, Oct. 1
MILFORD — Support Camp Mack’s scholarship fund by attending the annual Camp Mack Festival Saturday, Oct. 1. Enjoy food, children’s games, crafts, a bounce house and, of course, the live and silent auctions.
This is a day of fun and festivities for the whole family, beginning at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy a variety of foods, crafts, demonstrations, activities, entertainment, train rides and hayrides. Check out the silent auction from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. or attend the live auction, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The auction features: quilts, comforters, theme baskets, books, handcrafted items, local business gift cards and antiques.
This fundraiser provides financial support for children to attend camp and special projects at Camp Mack. The admission and parking are free with handicap parking available.
When asked what is enjoyed the most about coming the festival, Grady Berkeypile said, “I really like the popcorn that they cook over the fire. It’s the best.” His sister, Elise said, “My favorite thing to do is go into the teepee and see the fire and animals.”
Longtime festival goer and past festival organizer, Phyllis Leininger, said, “I enjoy seeing the demonstrations, like spinning and cornbread making. I enjoy the variety of music. I love to peruse the silent auction and have often purchased nice items at the live auction. And the food. I look forward to having my favorite foods every year. And my husband loves the potato chips made on the spot. It’s all fun, and I catch up with so many friends at CMF.”
Camp Mack is located at Waubee Lake at 1113 E. Camp Mack Road, near Milford.
