Two Mentone Businesses Hold Open Houses
MENTONE — Pete and Freddy’s Pages A Plenty Bookstore and Time After Time Again both celebrated open houses today, Sept. 9. Both businesses are located adjacently on Main Street, Mentone, next to Java Jacks.
Pete and Freddy’s Pages A Plenty has been open for seven years but are celebrating the opening of their fifth room. The new room concentrates on non-fiction books like history and biographies. The new room brings their book totals well over 30,000 new and used books.
Owner, Maddie Anweiler said that the shop is more than just a book store. It’s a place to talk, participate in knitting night or just read a new book. The owners are happy to help recommend a good book or order a new copy of a book their store doesn’t currently have in stock.
Time after Time Again is a resale consignment shop full of furniture, accessories, gifts and antiques. The store officially opened in July but held off on the celebrations until Pete and Freddy’s completed their updates.
Owner, Ann Weisahan said that her favorite part of owning the business is being able to be creative with consignment items the shop gets. She loves hearing customers talk about their plans for the furniture they purchase.
