Grace Tennis: Copeland Honored By NCCAA
WINONA LAKE – In her first week of collegiate competition, Grace College freshman tennis player Carrie Copeland was named the NCCAA National Player of the Week.
The freshman from Clayton, Ind., went 2-1 at No. 2 singles last week. She beat Goshen 6-1, 6-0 and Huntington 6-4, 6-4. In her lone loss against Indiana Wesleyan, Copeland won the most sets on Grace’s singles’ roster.
With a win against Manchester on Monday, Copeland improved to 4-1 in singles’ play for the Lady Lancers.
Grace returns to Miller Athletic Complex on Wednesday, hosting Trine at 4 p.m.
