District Govener-Elect Visits Warsaw Altrusa Club
WARSAW — Altrusa International of Warsaw welcomed District Six Governor-Elect Dana Vierck to their Sept. 1 meeting at the KREMC building east of Warsaw. Vierck, a member of the Elgin, Illinois Altrusa Club, shared with local members updates from around the three-state district and throughout the world-wide Altrusa membership. The local club is co-hosting the 2017 District Six Conference at Swan Lake Resort near Plymouth in April 2017, and preliminary plans were shared with Vierck who will be installed as the District’s Governor at that Conference. Altrusans will also be kicking off their celebration of Altrusa International’s 100 anniversary following installation of the new District officer team!
At the meeting, Altrusans displayed some of the many Bingo for Beaman Home prizes for Executive Director Tracie Hodson. The annual fundraiser supports Beaman Home’s programs and services and will take place on October 20th. Participants wishing to attend the 2016 Bingo for Beaman Home may purchase tickets at the Beaman Home’s new campus on North Parker Street in Warsaw. The public is invited.
