UPDATE: One Injured At US 6 And CR 33
SYRACUSE — A Bristol woman complained of neck pain after her Lexis was struck and flipped onto its top, in an accident at 6:11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29. The accident was at US 6 and CR 33, north of Syracuse.
Stacy Alexander, 49, Bristol, was taken to IU Health Goshen after complaining of neck pain.
Elkhart County sheriff’s deputies report Roman Esqueda De Santos, 21, Ligonier, was westbound on US 6, east of CR 33 and proceeded into the intersection, failing to stop for the stop sign and red flashing lights. The De Santos 2008 Ford Mustang struck the 2004 Lexis driven by Alexander. Alexander was northbound on CR 33, south of US 6. After impact the Lexis overturned coming to rest on its top.
De Santos was cited for disregarding a lighted signal.
Turkey Creek Township Fire Territory responded to the scene.
