KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Noon tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 26, is the deadline to file for a seat on one of six area school boards.

Boards with positions up for election this year include Warsaw Community Schools, Wawasee Community School Corporation, Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation, Triton School Corporation, Whitko Community School Corporaiton and Wa-Nee Community Schools.

Those wishing to file for candidacy must do so by noon tomorrow in the Kosciusko County Clerk’s office at the county justice building, located on Lake Street in downtown Warsaw. Positions up for election are as follows:

Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation

• District one — Candidates must be from Harrison Township, Kosciusko County
• District two — Candidates must be from Seward Township, Kosciusko County

Triton Community School Corporation

•  At-large: Candidates must be from Etna Township, Kosciusko County and Marshall County
•  District three: Candidates must be from Marshall County

Warsaw Community School Corporation

• District three: Candidates must be from Plain 3, Plain 5, Prairie 1, Prairie 2, Warsaw 1-2, Warsaw 1-4 or Warsaw 5-1. Elizabeth “Elle” Turley has filed.
• District four: Candidates must be from Wayne 1, Wayne 2, Wayne 5 or Wayne 11. Randy Polston has filed.
• District six: Candidates must be from Warsaw 2-2, Warsaw 3-2, Warsaw 3-3, Warsaw 4-1, Warsaw 5-2 and Warsaw 5-3. Jay Baumgartner has filed.

Wa-Nee Community Schools

• Olive Township: Candidates must be from Elkhart County
• Scott and Jefferson Township: Candidates must be from Kosciusko County
• At-large: Candidates must be from Elkhart or Kosciusko County

Wawasee Community School Corporation

• District 1: Tippecanoe Township
• District 2: Turkey Creek Township
• District 3: Van Buren and Jefferson 3

Whitko Community School Corporation

• District one: Candidates must be from Monroe and Washington Townships, Kosciusko County
• District two: Candidates must be from Richland Township, Whitley County, and Jackson Township, Kosciusko County
• District three: Candidates must be from Cleveland Township, Whitley County
