Stillson Paces Panthers Golf Win
NAPPANEE – It was another “Summer” like day for the NorthWood girls golf team Tuesday evening.
Standout Summer Stillson captured medalist honors as the Panthers defeated Fairfield in non-conference action at the McCormick Creek Golf Course.
Stillson shot a 41 over the par 36 front nine as the Panthers finished with a team score of 177. Stillson’s performance was highlighted by an eagle on the par 4 No. 4 hole as she holed her second shot from the fringe.
Mackenzie Weaver fired a 42 for NorthWood, now 3-0 on the season. Madison Richner shot 46, Abby Slabaugh 48 and Alaina Benjamin 51 for the winners.
Regina Raber led Fairfield with a 43. The Falcons finished with a team total of 251.
Hope Cripe shot a 49 to earn medalist honors for the Panthers in JV action. The NorthWood JV shot 217. Delaney Davis had a 53, Makenna Gall 56 and Kylee Gall and Kirsten Schrock each shot 59 for the JV Panthers.
NorthWood hosts Concord in Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday back at McCormick Creek.
