The Chamber Greenworks Committee Discusses Ways To Engage Community
WARSAW — The Chamber Greenworks Committee met Thursday, Aug. 18 at the Chamber of Commerce. The members of the committee met to discuss new avenues for the committee to get involved in the community and long term goals for group.
With the commencement of Nate Bosch’s and Theresa Sailor’s leadership on water projects, the committee focused on the transition to Shelly Heckert leading the Chamber Greenworks Committee. Sarah Fruit, educator for KC Recycling Depot, lead the meeting, guiding the committee to think about what direction they thought the committee should focus on.
The groups brainstormed numerous ways to engage the community members and small businesses to become more environmentally friendly. They also discussed was they could become a better resource for people to go to learn more about environmental issues.
