North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:06 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at 511 S. Main Street, North Webster. Drivers: Thomas L. Perzee, 67, East CR 150N, Pierceton, and Carl W. Valjack, 85, North SR 9, Columbia City. Perzee was backing out of a parking spot and his vehicle struck Valjack’s. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:29 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at West Main Street, west of North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Alexis N. Mast, 22, West Main Street, Syracuse. Mast was backing out of a parking spot and struck a parked car. Damage up to $2,500.
4:14 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at East Washington Street, east of North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: James L. Hobbick, 18, Fox Run Drive, Syracuse. Hobbick’s brakes failed and he made a left turn onto Washington Street to avoid hitting the car in front of him. He was unable to make the turn and ran off the road and hit a brick wall. Damage up to $5,000.
12:03 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at South Huntington Street and East Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Deborah J. Miller, 50, North Green Avenue, Syracuse, and Norman E. Cooper, 68, North Wenonah, Syracuse. Miller drove through a red traffic light and struck Cooper’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:57 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Fisher Avenue and South Buffalo Street. Drivers: Angela L. Hall, 48, West CR 250S, Warsaw, and Jennifer A. Streeter, 45, Rivercrest Drive, Warsaw. Hall was traveling southbound on Buffalo Street and was going around the curve at Fisher Avenue. She thought Streeter drove into her lane, but Hall was in the wrong lane and struck Streeter’s vehicle. Damage up to $50,000. Hall is being investigated for operating while intoxicated.
7:03 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at 3350 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Fabiola Luva, 29, East Walnut Street, Akron. Luva was driving through a department parking lot and as she attempted a right turn near the front door drive, she struck a shopping cart and then a handicap sign post on the passenger side of her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:32 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Lake City Highway and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Claude D. Clark, 39, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, and Debra K. Kester, 56, Frontage Road, Warsaw. Clark’s vehicle rear-ended Kester’s. Damage up to $2,500. Kester complained of neck pain and was checked out by EMS on scene, who stated she had whiplash. Kester said she would follow up with her own doctor.
2:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Lake City Highway, west of Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Cheryl L. Robison, 67, SR 1, Hamilton, and Ronald A. Shireman, 49, East CR 200N, Rochester. Robison’s vehicle rear-ended Shireman’s. Damage up to $10,000.
12:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Lake City Highway, west of Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Edward L. Ruscher, 53, Willow Forest Driver, Louisville Ky, and Machele L. Landolt, 56, Chestnut Avenue, Winona Lake. Ruscher’s vehicle rear-ended Landolt’s. Damage up to $10,000.
