Etna Green Discusses Rezoning Request
ETNA GREEN — The town council of Etna Green met on Aug. 9, for a short meeting to discuss rezoning requests, upgrades and playground equipment.
Jake Gonzalez came before the board to ask about a property he’s interested in buying to start a business. The property would be used to build storage units, but it needs to be rezoned from residential to commercial. The board told Gonzalez to talk to Area Planning to see if it was feasible, then come back and they’d talk.
Brenda Chilton asked to board for permission to remove a trailer from 305 W. Spring St., and put a new one in, but she needs a letter from the Etna Green town council stating it was okay for her to hook up water and sewer at this address. The board approved and will be writing the letter.
In other business:
- The council approved the accounts payable vouchers of $98,048.91.
- The Kosciusko County Foundation gave the board $3,098 for the cement edging and gravel for the new playground equipment.
- When the playground equipment comes in the board would like to create a community work day and have volunteers help install the equipment.
