Activities At The Milford Public Library
MILFORD — All are invited to the Milford Public Library’s last food and fun day this summer. On July 27, they will be creating a country flag and medallion and afterwards enjoying a snack. Individuals can sign up for one of the four sessions at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. at the children’s circulation desk.
Teens can bring friends for a table tennis tournament at 2 p.m. July 28 in the library meeting room and compete to be a table tennis champion. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
The last family summer story will be at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m July 29. Storyteller Julie Frew will read stories about the 2016 Summer Olympics. She will read Wally Raccoon’s Farmyard Olympics: Athletics Day, by Leela Hope and other great stories. After Julie finishes reading, a craft and snack will be provided.
This is the last week to earn credit reading for the Summer Reading Program (“Get in the Game, READ!” and “On Your Mark, Get Set….READ”)! A few more prizes can be earned by finishing the last book. The last day to turn in hours is by 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30.
Next week is the Summer Reading Program Finale Picnic! Individuals can must read five hours to come. A free hot dog lunch and treat will be served. At 12 p.m. August 3, individuals can grab a ticket, a beach towel, sunscreen, and a chair to sit on the beach. Food will be served under the pavilion and prizes will be drawn as well. Ronald McDonald will be making an appearance at 12:30 p.m. The last day to turn in hours is Friday, July 30.
