Warrior Open Sees Good Turnout

SYRACUSE — It was a beautiful day for golf as Warrior supporters gathered at Maxwelton Golf Club on Monday for the 22nd Annual Warrior Open.
This year’s outing hosted 36 teams and featured several big prizes on the course’s par three holes, including the chance to win a jet ski, a car or a set of TaylorMade clubs.
Northern Lakes Insurance took top honors during the morning session as the team made up of Scott Beasley, Clint Beasley, Vince Beasley and Charlie Roeder shot -18 on the day.
For the afternoon session it was the foursome of Andy Wolf, Jeffrey Moore, Logan Kauffman and Mikala Mawhorter that walked away with first place bragging right with a score of -17.
Awards reported were the following: Morning Longest Drive was Jeff Conrad, Morning Longest Putt was Kevin Watson. Afternoon Closest to the Pin was Wolf, Afternoon Longest Drive was Kauffman. Ladies’ Longest Drive was Shelly Rogers Stump. Kevin Watson won Longest Putt for the day.
