Anna Stump — UPDATED
Anna Stump, age 83, Pierceton, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 30, 1932 in Cleveland Township, Whitley County, to Frank and Martha (Spiecher) Austin.
Anna was united in marriage to Amos Stump on Nov. 11, 1950 in South Whitley. Amos preceded her Aug. 28, 1988. She retired from Da-Lite Screen, Inc., Warsaw after 26 years of service and was the Co-Owner of Stump’s Mobile Home Court. A member of First Baptist Church she faithfully attended and was very active in various church organizations.
She was a graduate of South Whitley High School Class of 1950 and was a member of several Kosciusko County Home Economics Clubs.
Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her children and her aunt Mariana Schulz, reading, gardening and attending church. She loved to visit friends, especially Helen Mort, long drives with her husband Amos and excursions with her sister-in-law Amy Stump.
Survivors include her children: Linda (spouse Tom) Kelch, Pierceton; Chester (spouse Susan) Stump, Warsaw; Sherry Stewart, Los Angeles, Calif.; Ronald (spouse Karen) Stump, Columbia City; Thomas (spouse Carrie) Stump and Mark (spouse Christina) Stump both of Pierceton. In addition, brothers: William Austin, South Whitley; and Jerry (spouse Carol) Austin. Huntington; as well as 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren survive.
Her parents and husband Amos preceded her.
Calling hours are scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, in the Pierceton Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
