Grandstand Has Many Great Acts Lined Up
WARSAW — Kosciusko County Community Fairground’s grandstand will be holding special events each night during the fair, July 11-16, thanks to sponsor Louis Dreyfus Commodities.
The International Professional Rodeo Association World Championship — produced by Broken Horn Rodeo — leads the grandstand out of the gates Monday, July 11. This event will give families a chance to experience all that rodeo has to offer from barrel racing to calf roping. Gates open at 6 p.m. with show time following at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 12, will feature the Monster Truck Bash, presented by Monteith’s Best One Tire. This year marks the event’s 50th anniversary, and it will feature Big Foot, Ballistic, Nightmare and Snake Bite. The gates open at 6 p.m. and the madness starts at 7:30 p.m. This grandstand event is free with fair admission. There will be a Big Foot shell sitting in front of the grandstand for souvenir photos. Make sure you check all the car smashing action the bash will provide.
Race fans can get their adrenaline going with the second annual Roy Bradbury Classic Wednesday, July 13. Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the Micro 600 Sprints will be ripping around the track by 7:30 p.m. Pit passes are available for $15. See what the Micro 600 Sprints have to offer.
Drag races will be roaring around the track Thursday, July 14, when the guys at KOI drag anything from lawn mowers to trucks and everything in between. Gates open at 6 p.m. the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Pit passes are available for $15.
The Shaggy Memorial Demo Derby is a good time for the whole family and is slated for Friday, July 15. Come watch cars smash and tear their way to victory. Gates open at 4 p.m. and show starts at 7:30 p.m. Pit passes are available for $15, grandstand tickets are available for $10 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12, 5-under are free. There will be four classes, including a new truck class. This event is sponsored by Lewis Salvage.
An annual favorite the truck and tractor pull will be coming to the grandstand Saturday, July 16. This is another fun family event, so make sure to mark it down. Gates open at 4 p.m. and show starts 6 p.m. Pit passes are available for $15.
Tickets to grandstand events, unless otherwise noted, are $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12; children 5 years of age and under are admitted free.
