Maryann Hummel — UPDATED
Maryann Hummel, 87, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born on July 23, 1928 in Milford to Roy and Anna Lee (Crowl) Pinkerton.
She graduated in 1946 from Milford High School and lived all of her life in the Milford, Leesburg, and Warsaw areas. She was married on Sept. 1, 1950 in Milford to James A. “Jim” Hummel who preceded her on May 1, 1990. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm for many years.
She was a member of the New Salem Church of the Brethren in Milford.
She is survived by: five daughters: Barbara (Bill) Wright, Nappanee; Debra Hagerlin, Warsaw; Lori (Don) Stoneburner, Warsaw; Lisa (Jeff) Hall, Leesburg; Karen (Richard) Bozarth, Warsaw; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters: Ruth Marie Schell, Hazel Pinkerton, June Schermerhorn, Agnes Brower, and Betty Morehouse; and two brothers: James Pinkerton & Ralph Junior Pinkerton.
Visitation will be from 4–8 p.m. on Friday, July 8 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Beezley of the Clunette United Methodist Church officiating.
