Discount Days At The Kosciusko Fair
There are several days throughout the Kosciusko County Community Fair that offer discounts and savings. These days mean either discounted admission or other discounts seen throughout the fairgrounds.
Kiddies Day, a favorite among the children, will be on Tuesday, July 12. At 2 p.m., all carnival rides are just $1 clear up until closing. There will also be kid-friendly activities throughout the fair all day at the event center. From 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. there will be a kid’s free breakfast and at 10 a.m., there will be a Lake City Bank coin hunt.
At noon, Deb Collier School of Dance will perform and at 1 p.m. the Lowes Build and Grow activity will be available for the first 100 children. The activity will be an age appropriate building experience for the children who would like to participate.
On the stage of the event center, the Kevin Long Illusionz show will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., Silly Safaris will take the stage.
From 5 p.m – 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 8 p.m., children will have an opportunity to meet some Jedis and Darth Vader at the Jedi Training. Vader and the Jedis will teach individuals how to use light sabers and will be posing for photo opportunities. Children are invited to show up in costume for this meet and greet opportunity.
Finally, at 7:30 p.m., the Monster Truck Bash will be held at the grandstands and will be free to everyone, courtesy of Montieth Tire.
Tuesday, July 12, is also the Kosciusko REMC day. Fair attendees can present their REMC energy card to get $1 off of admission.
On Wednesday, July 13, Seniors 55 and older will be honored during Senior Day. Admission will be $1 and there are activities for seniors at the event center throughout the day, such as the 8 a.m. free senior breakfast, 9 a.m. free blood pressure checks and also senior entertainment, 10 a.m. bingo and euchre, 11 a.m. senior entertainment and the 1 p.m. free ice cream social.
Wristband Days, during which wristbands can be purchased for rides, are Wednesday, July 13 from 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.; Thursday, July 14 from 3 – 11 p.m. and from 1 – 6 p.m..Saturday, July 16.
It should also be noted that active members of the United States military will receive free entry into the fair.
