Oakwood Resort To Host Inaugural Car Show Fundraiser
SYRACUSE — Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence winner Oakwood Resort announced their inaugural car show will be hosted on the beautiful grounds of the 27-acre resort.
In conjunction with the Syracuse-Wawasee Park Foundation, the event will serve as a fundraiser to continue the walking trails around Lake Wawasee, Indiana’s largest natural lake. The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24.
Those interested in participating in this public event may register at Oakwood Resort the day of the event beginning at 10:30 a.m. at a cost of $20 per car. Judging for the show will take place from 2:30-3 p.m. and there will be four categories judged, including current classic, future classic, people’s choice and the elite “marquis class,” which will only apply to cars valued at $100,000 or more. Judges for this inaugural show will be car enthusiasts Larry Dent and Pete Keelan.
“We’re so excited to host our inaugural car show that is open to all ages. There is no charge to attend and guests can enjoy dining from local food trucks, viewing all the beautiful cars and talking about their history,” stated General Manager Tamra Henry. “We’re certain this will be a wonderful event for guests of all ages.”
