Jazz Performers Coming To First Presbyterian Church
ELKHART — Music lovers will have an opportunity to see two of the musicians of this year’s Elkhart Jazz Festival perform as part of First Presbyterian Church’s Annual Jazz Sunday Worship Service.
The worship service takes place at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 26, at 200 East Beardsley Avenue in Elkhart. Renowned jazz clarinetist Dave Bennett will be joined by Fred Powell, a popular freelance musician known for his signature line of trumpets. They will be accompanied by Tamra Garrett on vocals, Sean Patrick on bass, Jim Bollero on percussion, Matt Kennedy on guitar and Celia Weiss on keyboard.
The First Presbyterian Church is located just over the Main Street Bridge, and is within walking distance of downtown Elkhart. The concert is open to everyone. The Dave Bennett Quartet performs all three days of the 2016 Elkhart Jazz Festival, which runs June 24-26.
