Rosemary Weaver
Rosemary Weaver, 89, Culver passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, June 8, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Rosemary was born in Chicago April 14, 1927 to the late Glenna and Burel Ballinger. She was an only child. She was
married to the only man she ever loved, Allen F. Weaver on Nov. 22, 1945. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who lived for her family.
She was a master seamstress at the Culver Academies Uniform Department for 26 years. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She was well known for her pies, doughnuts, and baked goods.
Rosemary is survived by her four children: Daniel (Janice) Weaver, Plymouth; Martha (Carl) Smith, Argos; Mark (Sue) Weaver, Warsaw; and Roberta Schrimsher, Culver. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her loving nieces: Shelly Drang and Bonnie (Tom) Schmidt, Culver, as well as many loving friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 54 years: Allen Weaver; grandson: Matthew N. Scott; and her son-in-law David Schrimsher.
Rosemary was always happiest when she was cooking and feeding her family. She was rarely seen without a child around her and attended the birth of almost all of her descendants. She loved family get-togethers and requested that her passing be celebrated the same way. As such, there will be no viewing. Services will be held Sunday, June 12, in a private ceremony, surrounded by her family.
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested donations be made in her name to the Culver Town Park Fund for new playground equipment and/or an iris flower garden. Donations may be sent c/o Marti Smith, 17517 Ironwood Road, Argos, IN 46501.
Odom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
