Tippecanoe Valley Golf: Vikings 9th At Bob Turner Event
LEESBURG – The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team took ninth place in the Bob Turner Classic Monday night.
The Vikings shot a season-best team 18-hole score of 350 in the loaded 10-team field at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger came in at 273, seven under par, to win the event.
Trevor Neeley fired a round of 81 to pace the Vikings.
Jeremy Julian shot an 84 and Cole Cumberland an 86 for the Vikings. Chandler Newsome finished with a 99 and Kane Stellar shot a 104 for Valley.
Penn was second in the final team standings at 296. Fort Wayne Canterbury placed third at 307 with host Warsaw in fourth place at 318. Wawasee was fifth at 327, followed by Warsaw B (328), NorthWood (330), Triton (337), Valley (350) and Elkhart Memorial (355).
Valley will face Triton and Bremen on Thursday evening at Rozella Ford in Warsaw.
