Sarah I. Chupp
Sarah I. Chupp, 95, Nappanee, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side at 7:28 am, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at her residence after a short illness.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921 in Elkhart County to Isaac A. and Suvella (Miller) Miller. She lived her lifetime in this area. On Dec. 30, 1948, she married Joseph J. Chupp . He preceded her in death July 9, 1983. Mrs. Chupp was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her daughters: Mary Jane Miller, Bourbon; JoAnn (Karl E.) Miller; Nancy Sue (Larry Joe ) Schwartz; Laura Jean Chupp, all of Nappanee; Salena Fern (Darrell) Yoder, Chouteau, Ok.; sons: William J. (Candi) Chupp, Liburn, Ga.; Alan Ray (Tammy) Chupp, Bristol; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and sister: Laura Miller, Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law: Dale W. Miller; brother and sister-in-law: Eli and Lovina Miller; sisters: Lizzie Ann Chupp and Emma Wagler.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 Monday, May 9 and all day Tuesday at the Earl Bontrager residence (9720 W 1200 N) Nappanee. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 11th at Earl Bontragers.
Bishop John Earl Miller with the Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.
