Two Transported Following US 30 Collision
PIERCETON — At approximately 8:16 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle personal injury accident at the intersection of SR 13 and US 30, Pierceton.
Officers arrived and found two people were injured.
The first driver, Shawna M. Davenport, 46, Pheasant Ridge Drive, Warsaw, had been driving her black 2015 Nissan westbound on U.S. 30. Davenport proceeded into the intersection and her vehicle collided with a tan 2003 Chevrolet, driven by Tamra L. Brown, 65, Thistle Burr Lane, Greenfield.
Emergency personnel used the Jaws of Life to extricate a front-seat passenger from Brown’s vehicle. The passenger was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Brown was not injured. Davenport was transported via ambulance to Lutheran Hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to a police report, officers received conflicting information as to which driver had the green light.
The Indiana State Police, Pierceton Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Tri-County EMS and Lutheran Air Service assisted at the scene.
