Karen Kay Gant
Karen Kay Gant, 58, Wabash, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born Nov. 25, 1957, in Wabash, to Kenneth and Ilean “Jo” (Eltzroth) Sellers.
Karen attended South Side Freewill Baptist Church, in Wabash. She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her father, riding horses, watching movies, riding her scooter around town, collecting Native American things, and was a “free-spirit.” She previously worked at the Sweet Shop, Shirt Shed, and Cyclone Seeder, all of Wabash. Karen lived in Houston, Texas, for six years before moving back to Wabash.
She is survived by two children: Lisa Marie Gant, Wabash; Audie Lee (Misty) Gant, Franklin; five grandchildren: Valerie Gant; Jasmine Gant, Franklin; Natalie; Chasity; and Kaleb Honeycutt, all of Warsaw; sister: Kim (Jimmy) Rife, Roann. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Dakota Honeycutt; brother: Michael Sellers; and sister: Melody Hiner.
There will be no services. Grandstaff-Hentgen is in charge of arrangements.
