IU Health Goshen Names New Chief Nursing Officer
GOSHEN — IU Health Goshen announces the selection of Julie Crossley, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, as chief nursing officer. Crossley has been a colleague with IU Health Goshen for more than 18 years. With this promotion, she brings organizational experience as well as a deep commitment to fostering a collaborative culture with her nursing colleagues.
“Julie has consistently gone the extra mile as a leader and nurse in our organization,” stated Randy Christophel, president and CEO, IU Health Goshen. “We appreciate her significant focus on quality performance and her dedication to our environment of excellence as a Magnet designated institution.”
As chief nursing officer, Crossley is excited to lead the journey to renewing the fourth Magnet Designation for IU Health Goshen. Magnet recognition is earned through a rigorous process that demonstrates proof of excellent nursing standards, structures and outcomes. IU Health Goshen is the only organization in the region with Magnet designation. Crossley will also encourage collaboration in the organization’s nursing practice and inspire nursing colleagues to own their individual nursing career goals.
“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to serve the largest group of colleagues within the organization – our nurses,” stated Crossley. “The support from my fellow colleagues has been heartwarming and inspiring. I look forward to a bright future as we continue to engage clinical nurses to advance their professional nursing practice. I could not be more proud to be a colleague at IU Health Goshen.”
Crossley earned an associate of science degree in nursing from Purdue University, Fort Wayne, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Goshen College, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science Nursing Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Crossley also holds an American Nurses Credentialing Center Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certification.
