Spring Story Time
A mother holds a special place in the heart of her children. Our last week of story time is at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, and at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12. This week will honor our mothers with a Mothers Day Tea Party. Join Miss Malea Johnson as we read You Nest Here with Me by Jane Yolen, Gus Makes a Gift by Frank Remkiewicz, and Tea Party Rules by Ame Dyckman. After we listen to stories, make a special craft to give to your mom. Let us serve you tea party snacks and tea after craft time. Children are encouraged to bring special guests, like a grandmother or aunt. Please call the library and let us know how many guests you plan to bring, so we can plan for them. Dress up if you like. See you on Wednesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 12!
LEGO Crew
LEGO Crew is scheduled from 1:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 14. On the second Saturday of each month, we get together and let our imaginations run wild. This program is for children age 5 and up. We provide the LEGO’s, you provide your creativity and imagination. Call us if you have any questions at (574) 658-4312. This will be our last LEGO Crew until September, so please plan to attend.
Freegal
Have you tried Freegal? Milford Public Library patrons can use their library card number and pin, and download free music. You can download up to five free songs every week; that’s 260 free songs a year. There are thousands of songs, ranging from today’s hits, classical music, rock, country, oldies, and so much more. Try it out today, by clicking the link on the Milford Public Library homepage. If you have questions, come in and ask. We’d love to help you download some sweet tunes.
Milford Fest
Be sure to look for the library’s booth during Milford Fest. This year we have a basketball arcade game to play. For a one dollar donation, you get three tries to make a basket and win a prize. All of the donations are used to support the summer reading program. We have lots of great programs planned for children of all ages all summer long. Make visits to the library part of your summer plans.
