Who will be on your ballot Tuesday
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The primary is Tuesday, May 3, with polls opening at 6 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m. It is said that Indiana voters will be critical in determining the presidential nominees at each party’s national conventions. But the importance of voting goes beyond the presidential nomination. Voting or not voting could make a difference in who will receive the nomination for the November general election.
While all voters will be casting votes for nominations in such office as president, United States Senator, governor and numerous county offices, there have been a number of conversations and questions raised what candidate will be on specific ballots in the U.S. Representative 2nd and 3rd District races and even in the State Senate District 12 race.
U.S. Representative 2nd District includes voters residing in all precincts of Clay, Etna, Franklin, Harrison, Jefferson, Plain Township Precinct 6, Lake, Scott, Prairie, Turkey Creek, Seward and Van Buren townships. Voters of the Republican ballot will see the names Jeff Petermann and Jackie Walorski. Those with a Democratic ballot will see the names of Douglas Carpenter and Lynn C. Coleman.
U.S. Representative 3rd District includes all precincts in Jackson, Monroe, Washington, Wayne, City of Warsaw, Tippecanoe Township and all other precincts in Plain Township, except Plain 6. Republican ballots will have the names of Jim Banks, Mark Willard Baringer, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Brown, Pam Galloway, Keven Howell and Kip Tom. The Democrat ballot will have the names of Todd Nightenhelser, John Forrest Roberson and Tommy A. Schrader.

The districts for State Senate are more defined.
State Senate 9th District includes all precincts in Etna, Plain, Tippecanoe, Washington, Wayne, Jefferson, Prairie, Van Buren, Scott and City of Warsaw. Ryan Mishler is the candidate for this race. There is no Democrat candidate.
State Senate 12th District includes all precincts in Turkey Creek Township. Republican candidates for this district are: Blake Doriot and Joanna King. There is no Democrat candidate.
State Senate 18th District includes, Clay, Lake, Monroe, Franklin, Harrison, Jackson and Seward. Voters will see the name of Randall Head
State Representative 18th District includes Plain 4, Lake, Franklin, Jackson, Clay, Washington, Monroe, Seward, Wayne Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 10 and 11 and City of Warsaw Ward 1-Precinct 1, Ward 1 – Precinct 4 and Ward 2-Precinct 1. Republican voters will see the name of David A. Wolkins. There is no Democrat candidate
State Representative 22nd District covers all precincts in the townships of Etna, Jefferson, Prairie, Turkey Creek, Van Buren, Harrison, Scott and Tippecanoe and Plain Township Precincts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7; Wayne Precincts 6, 7, 8 and 9 and City of Warsaw Ward 1- Precinct 2, Ward 2-Precinct 2, Ward 3, Ward 4 and Ward 5. Voters will see the name of Curt Nisly on the Republican ballot and the name of Brian J. Smith on the Democrat ballot.

All voters who request a Republican ticket will see these names on his ballot:
