Area Residents Involved in New Paris Accident
NEW PARIS — Residents from Leesburg, Syracuse and Warsaw were among drivers of four vehicles involved in an accident at 4:54 a.m. today, April 26, at SR 15 and CR 146, just south of New Paris.
Anthony Ganshorn, 29, Leesburg, suffered face and head injuries and complained of pain to the chest and shoulders. Bradley Miller, 59, Syracuse and Wyatt Huffer, 31, Warsaw, were not injured. Wilbur Miller, 74, Goshen, complained of pain in the left wrist. Ganshorn and Miller were transported to IU Health Goshen.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports Miller was northbound on SR 15 in his 2006 Ford 500, attempting to turn west onto CR 146, when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2001 Buick driven by Ganshorn. While Ganshorn’s vehicle was stopped in the middle of SR 15, it was struck by Miller’s southbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
After the impact Ganshorn’s vehicle struck Huffer’s 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Huffer had stopped south of the scene in order to help with the crash.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports law enforcement action is pending toxicology results for Ganshorn.
